One Café receives order for millions from Norwegian Friele
One Café has received an order worth at least SEK 5 million. The five-year agreement with one of Norway’s leading coffee producers is considered as a breakthrough for the coffee company based in Eslöv, southern Sweden.
One Café offers a one-cup packaging concept for fresh ground coffee using disposable bags that brew instantly in the cup. The filter bags are made of a patented fabric that allows the coffee to mix fully with hot water. The products are mainly used by hotel and travel businesses, but One Café hopes that their products will also be more widely available to consumers in the future. The licence agreement with Friele means that the company can manufacture One Café’s filter bags and fill them with their own coffee. One Café will also distribute the machine to fill the bags.
The Norwegian company Kaffehuset Friele is owned by the American company Sara Lee that sells about 60 million cups of coffee a year.
– The order from Friele is worth at least SEK 5 million, but we hope for more, says Johnny Ragazzo, CEO of One Café.
