Highly educated work force with vast international experience

The Öresund Region has a total workforce of 1.7m with an average age of
40.  There is a strong international orientation. Three out of four
speak English, and the figure is almost 100 % among young people, who
often speak a third language like French or German. The region has many
world-renowned international companies that give people experience in
trade.
The large pool of highly motivated, skilled and educated people is
partly due to the high concentration of educational institutions. There
are 14 universities in the region, comprising the Öresund University,
with 140 000 students and 10 000 researchers.
